It's difficult to overcome the top tourism destinations in Pangasinan. The Hundred Islands in Alaminos and the beautiful beaches of Anda and Bolinao are enough to satisfy you four S.(Sun, Shore, Sea and Sky).

But because of these, tourist often flock the area. My Holy Week hotel booking in Alaminos was futile. Thankfully, the company spent 2 days in a rustic place called Villa Balinmanok in the municipality of Dasol.

How to Get there

From Manila, Dasol, Pangasinan is 6-7 Hours. Ride Victory Liner in Cubao, Quezon City to Alaminos Town Proper. Alight in the terminal and go beside the municipal hall. You can ask the locals where the jeepney terminal to Dasol is located.

Alight in Dasol town proper. No public transportation plying in and out of the resort. But you can contact the resort owner or maintenance to ferry you from Dasol all the way to the resort.

We stayed in the largest house in the resort since we were 21 bodies eager to have a quick respite from the daily grind.

What to do.

Enjoy island hopping, and basking under the sun. The resort offers island hopping to Colibra island. A 20-minute boat ride from the main land.

Unfortunately, we did not go to some of the islands because of harsh waves. We just said to ourselves that we will go back and experience the famous death pool in Burgos

How did it fare.

Because this is a company outing, I can only give you a rough estimate of the expenses incurred here, especially the fare from Manila to Dasol.

These prices are per person.

PhP393 - Cubao, Quezon City to Alaminos, Pangasinan (one way)

PhP 40 - Alaminos to Tambobong, Dasol (one way)

PhP400 - (Almost) Unlimited food and drinks!

Pros:

Unspoiled beach.

Few guest in the area (even on Weekends)

If you have a car, and want to pitch a tent, you can park your car near the beach area.

Cons:

Far from the city center and public commute

You have to bring foods as there is no store or even restaurants in the area.
