Being in the province all my life, I found Metro Manila a fascinating place to be. The activities, the people, the fashion, especially the resources are here. Now working in the central business district, i got overwhelmed by this. And needed a respite from all of it.
We went to Nuvali, Santa Rosa, :Laguna to catch some new air and surround ourselves with positive energy.

Getting there:
I work in Makati and the nearest bus terminal (Point-to-Point) is along Palm Drive, in front of The Holiday Inn and Suites Hotel. Departure starts at 0700H and ends at 2200H. Fare is PhP150. Expensive to most taste considering that Jam Liner In Buendia which travel to Balibago in Santa Rosa, Laguna fares at PhP68 pesos only. But considering how traffic in Metro Manila sucks up all your patience, we availed this.

Where we stayed:
We harnessed the power of technology and booked with Airbnb. We found Stanford Suites the lowest and the most convenient of all places we searched around Nuvali. Or so we thought. Priced at PhP1500 per night without breakfast on our 2-night stay there, we have to hire a tricycle to and from Nuvali because there was no public transport on sight. We have to pay PhP70 every time. Good thing, the place is brand spanking new. The caretaker said we were their first guest since they partnered in with Airbnb a few months ago.
Nuvali.
We like the airy, open area of the Nuvali. Gone are the pockmarked streets of EDSA, the polluted air we have to breathe in and the fast-pace way of life of the city. We can again sit on the side of a clean river, eating Mango-Graham shake. We can walk through the open field carefree. Time pass fast but we did not mind at all.
All the times, when we are stressed out in work, or in life, we do not quit. We just rest and go on. This quick trip is one of the trip that replenishes us. For us, traveling makes us a couple again. It gives us time to reflect and plan ahead.
How did it fare. We spent about PhP6,000 for the 3-day trip to Nuvali, including round-trip P2P Bus and accommodations.
PhP3,000 - Stanford Suites 2-night accommodation.
PhP 150 - P2P Bus fare from Ayala to Solenad in Nuvali, Sta Rosa, Laguna
PhP 70 - Average fare to and from Stanford Suites to Nuvali
PhP2,000 - Food.
